Welcome to Anantor ("we," "our," "us," or the "App"). Anantor is an entertainment application that provides Vedic astrology readings and insights using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Age Restriction: Anantor is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. Special Note on Birth Information: The date, time, and place of birth information you provide is essential for Vedic astrology calculations. This information forms the foundation of all astrological content we generate for you and cannot be used to provide our services without it.

1.2 Contact Information (Optional)

With your explicit permission, we may access your device contacts to help you:

• Find friends who are also using Anantor
• Send friend requests to contacts who use the App

When you grant us contact access, we collect:

• Contact names from your address book
• Phone numbers associated with those contacts

We normalize phone numbers to a standard format, convert them to hash and send these hash securely to our servers to match against existing Anantor users. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time through your device settings. The App remains fully functional if you choose not to grant contact access. You may withdraw this consent at any time, and withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.

1.3 Device and Technical Information

To ensure the App functions properly and securely, we automatically collect:

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information
• Push Notification Token: A unique device token obtained from Firebase Cloud Messaging to send you notifications
• App Usage Data: Features accessed, session duration, interaction patterns, crash reports, and diagnostic data
• IP Address: Your device's Internet Protocol address for security and fraud prevention
• Log Data: Timestamps, error logs, and performance metrics

1.4 Information Generated by AI

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized astrological content based on the information you provide. This includes:

• Vedic astrology readings and interpretations
• Compatibility analyses
• Responses to your questions
• Personalized insights and predictions

This generated content is stored on our servers and associated with your account.

2. Legal Basis for Processing (DPDPA Compliance)

• You can disable push notifications at any time via device settings

3.3 App Improvement and Analytics

• Analyze usage patterns to improve App features and user experience
• Monitor and analyze trends, performance, and functionality
• Debug technical issues and maintain App stability
• Conduct research and development for new features

3.4 Security and Fraud Prevention

• Protect against unauthorized access, misuse, and fraudulent activity
• Enforce our Terms of Service and legal rights

3.5 Legal Compliance

• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes under the DPDPA and other Indian laws

Purpose Limitation: We process your personal data only for the specific purposes for which it was collected and disclosed to you. We do not use your birth information for any purpose other than generating astrological content.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. As a Data Fiduciary, we share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

4.1 Data Processors (Service Providers)

We work with trusted third-party Data Processors who assist us in operating the App. These processors have access to your personal information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are contractually obligated to:

• Process data only as per our instructions
• Maintain confidentiality and security of your data
• Not use your data for their own purposes
• Comply with the DPDPA and applicable data protection laws

Our Data Processors include:

• Backend Hosting and Infrastructure: Our servers (hosted at api.anantor.com) store and process account information, profile data, birth details, user-generated questions, AI-generated content, friend lists, contacts-matching data, and notification tokens
• Push Notification Services: Firebase Cloud Messaging (operated by Google LLC) processes device tokens and delivers push notifications to your device. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• AI Content Generation Systems: Our AI infrastructure processes your birth information and questions to generate personalized astrological content
• Cloud Storage and Database Services: Providers that host and manage our data storage infrastructure
• Analytics and Performance Monitoring: Tools that help us understand App usage and improve performance (configured to minimize personal data collection)

All Data Processors are contractually bound to meet DPDPA compliance standards and maintain the same level of data protection we promise to you.

4.2 Friends and Social Features

• Your name and basic profile information may be visible to friends you connect with within the App
• If someone in your contacts uses Anantor and you've granted contact permission, you may appear in their list of suggested friends
• Astrological compatibility information may be shared between connected friends

4.3 Legal Requirements and Law Enforcement

We may disclose your information when required by law or to comply with legal processes under Indian law, including:

• Valid legal processes (summons, court orders, government requests under Section 69 of the IT Act, 2000)
• Requests from the Data Protection Board of India
• Investigations of potential violations of our Terms of Service or applicable laws
• Situations involving potential threats to physical safety or national security
• Protection of our legal rights, property, and users' safety
• Prevention, detection, or prosecution of offences

4.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will:

• Notify you of any such change via email or prominent notice within the App
• Inform you of choices you may have regarding your information
• Ensure the successor entity complies with this Privacy Policy and the DPDPA

5. Data Storage and Retention

5.1 Local Storage on Your Device

We store the following information locally on your device:

• Session Token: Keeps you logged into the App using Secure Storage
• Cached Profile Data: A local copy of your profile information for faster access using using AsyncStorage

This local data remains on your device until you log out or uninstall the App.

5.2 Server-Side Storage

The following information is stored on our secure servers (api.anantor.com):

• Account credentials and authentication data
• Complete profile information (name, phone number, birth details)
• AI-generated astrological content and readings
• User-generated questions and content
• Friend lists and connection data
• Contacts-matching metadata (hashed phone numbers)
• Push notification tokens

5.3 Data Retention Period

Purpose-Based Retention: We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as disclosed to you at the time of collection.

6. Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement comprehensive technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction, as required under the DPDPA.

Security Limitations: While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity under your account.

7. Your Rights as a Data Principal (DPDPA)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• You can access your personal information stored with us at any time through the App

7.4 Right to Withdraw Consent

• You can withdraw your consent for data processing at any time
• Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
• To withdraw consent for contact access, manage permissions through your device settings
• To withdraw consent for notifications, disable them via device settings

Consequences of Withdrawal: If you withdraw consent for essential data processing (such as birth information required for astrology services), we may not be able to provide you with the App's core features.

7.6 Permission Management

• Contacts Permission: Manage through your device settings (Settings > Apps > Anantor > Permissions)
• Notifications Permission: Disable push notifications through your device settings

The App remains fully functional even if you deny or revoke these permissions.

8. Your Duties as a Data Principal

Under the DPDPA, you also have certain responsibilities:

• Comply with Applicable Law: You must not impersonate another person or provide false information
• Furnish Only Accurate Information: You must provide complete and accurate information
• Respect Others' Rights: You must not do anything that violates the rights of other Data Principals

Failure to comply with these duties may result in penalties as prescribed under the DPDPA.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

9.1 Third-Party Service Providers

Anantor integrates with the following third-party services:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC): For delivering push notifications
• Subject to Google's Privacy Policy

These third parties act as Data Processors and are bound by our data processing agreements.

9.2 Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

We are not liable for the data practices of third-party services.

10. Children's Privacy and Parental Consent

10.1 Age Restriction

Anantor is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. 

10.2 Verifiable Parental Consent

If you are under 18 years of age, you may use this App only with the verifiable consent of your parent or legal guardian. 

10.3 Prohibited Activities for Children

• Tracking or behavioral monitoring of users under 18
• Targeted advertising directed at users under 18
• Any processing that may cause detrimental effects on the well-being of children

10.4 No Knowingly Collection from Minors Without Consent

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18 without proper parental consent, we will:

• Take immediate steps to delete such information from our servers
• Notify the parent/guardian if possible
